Character Description
When they were young, Billie always had a fascination with technology. They took apart their family vid-system when they were four, and put it back together... with a little of their parents' help. Despite this penchant for technology it never developed beyond a hobby. Billie's calling was to be a diplomat. They started in primary school with mock governments and debates, learning political science and continued onto advanced learning in law.
Before they could complete their degree and begin practicing law, they got into trouble at school. Billie had a penchant for making bets, and got involved with a loan shark - it was a racket, of course - and when she tried to expose the conspirators one of them turned out to be the dean of the college. She was expelled and blacklisted.
Billie used their technological prowess to anonymously dump evidence of the racket in public forums throughout Iris Station... but not before booking passage deeper into the Fringe, far from reprisal. There, they gained the ear of a quasi-criminal outfit and began establishing themselves as a neutral party among the crime families of the Fringe.
