Romulans are an offshoot of the Vulcan bloodline who left Vulcan and founded a new civilization on Romulus. They have rejected the pacifistic, unemotional, logical, vegetarian lifestyle of the Vulcans. Their capacity for reason is as great as the Vulcans', their capacity for emotion as great as humans'.
