Treaty of Jisrima

After the Cicada War, the surviving heirs of the three hammer kings, took up leadership. They were angry at the supposed lack of aid and support from the Kohaarteba Empire against the Ake Elves. After rising tension, political war, and minor skirmishes, a treaty known as the Treater of Jisrima was signed. The treaty gave land to the dwarven Kingdoms so that they could better control those areas against invasions. The land given was the territory of Jisrima which was a primarily halfling territory that did not follow the faith of Saat. Because of this, it was a political move by the Saat temple to remove non believers from the Empire. This was still beneficial for the dwarven nation as it was a strip of land that connected Parvus to Baarish, making it defensible against ground forces from the south, where the Ake Elves came.
The people became part of the "Province of Jisrima" under control of the Three Hammer Kingdoms. Local tension rose as these people, primarily halflings, were not quick to give up their way of life, rituals, and faith to adjust for the new legal system and laws, or to accept incoming dwarven immigrants. Dwarves established their own government systems and rule which clashed against the halflings way of living. Over time, those that remained became known as the Shujae Halflings as they blended with dwarven lineages. Some grew angry at changes in power and the idea that they, as a people, were expendable to the more "advanced" territories of the south. One particular individual was Oskas Greyhollow, a cleric of the Mytheaver. He lead a group of halflings out, away from oppression and became Tajul or Wanderers, creating a Tajul Halflings. Because of the tension between the Kohaarteba Empire and the Parvus dwarf territories, the Tajul were not allowed refuge (nor did they desire it), which lead them to travel west through the Yoseikyo Empire. [/history]
