The Royal Hawk

The Royal Hawk – This Tavern features a caricature of the royal crest on a heavy lumber sign above its front door. Located in Goblins Woe this tavern has a few traditions steeped in military history. Soldiers stationed here find it a rite of passage to drink a helm full of Smelters Slag or Adventurers Ale and walk out under his own locomotion without vomiting. Many fail but its an informal right of passage and those who do succede are rarely celebrated for it. The regular spirits served are of much better quality such as Fire Mead or Rooks Brew. Ravens Crest red and Drakes Gold wines are served as well as an imported red wine from Paladine called Knights Heart. It is a high quality tavern for being located in such a small town in the middle of nowhere. Tankards are of quality pewter and the food is served on fine wooden platters. Handpies are the only fare but they are of excellent quality made by the chef Rupert. The owner, Anthron Mordrin, a retired veteran of the Goblin War is old and feeble now and only sits at his private table in the corner. Fights are taken outside and for the most part patrons are not rowdy.
