The Mithral Cleaver Butcher and Inn

The Mithral Cleaver Butcher and Inn – Kind of an odd paring the two really work. It started as just an inn with several rooms upstairs and a split of the downstairs between the kitchen and a taproom. The meats became a popular menu item and the chef was a skilled butcher and did all his own cutting. Bart McBane began expanding to friends and family until he needed to actually expand his kitchen. Now the basement is a chilled storage for the butcher shop and the kitchen is a bit smaller. The tap room is still running but from the side of the building the meat is sold. Only a few ales are sold here including two poor quality ales Adventurers ale, Smelters Slag (a cheap watery porter) and wine, both red, Raven Crest, or a white, Drakes Gold is served. Seasoned roasts with potatoes and carrots are a feature here with strong echoes of Paladonian cooking. Bart and his family run the establishment, while he himself cuts the meat and his daughter Holly (a budding druid) run the butcher shop in the morning. Gwendolyn, Bart’s wife, and his two sons run the inn side. A few of the extended family work the tap room with Bart in the evening. Bart is often known for donating hagsausage to the poor on the winter solstice.
