Rethmar - is related to but not part of Sterling. Geographically close and a strong trade partner is not all they share. Historically the two spring from the same colony style origins. While the two spring from the same well of genealogy and even as far as early settlement funding Rethmar is one of the few independent kingdoms that has a major iron mine, a source of true power in this world. Younger than Tower Rock it has adopted the stylings of the Tower Rock smelter but has a strong influence from Epirians due to it being wholly on an island. King Geoff Goldhammer has a strong but little tested military with more ships for a navy than he can keep maned. Ships are another main source of income as they are the best shipwrights in the world. Rethmar the city on the island, Billingsly, Stump and Firebluff all three on the main land this kingdom giving a strong foothold there as well. Several small villages and hamlets dot the island and many villages’ hamlets, and small towns are peppered on the mainland. Slim and agile weapons are favored in this kingdom (those with finesse) as well as the budding firearms weapons. Gunslingers, Alchemists, investigators and swashbucklers are common here. A small sect of witches The Sisters of Avalos Shadow reside here and grows every year. This is a very renaissance style society, Italian/German. Very good engineers gnomes get along fine here.
