Ft Dewberry

Ft Dewberry – This small stone fort gained its name from the wild dewberry briars that grow around the area. It is part of the reason this site was chosen. It has sweet berries during the spring and summer months and strong thick thorns all year. A small inn, tavern and general store is the main building other than the military barracks. This operation is run by a half elf and halfling couple who make jams and jellies from the berries. The bakery also produces quality light and fluffy bread the soldiers favor with the jams. A small dairy farm with only a few cows, goats and voquuine supply the area with butter and cheese as well. A fine stone structure was built for a forge but the owner and blacksmith were killed during a goblin raid some years ago and no qualified smithy has filled the position. A few low skilled locals do some crude work but the main building remains empty and ready to produce items. POP approx. 150
