Flat side only The assassin can attack 1 square away only and is the only piece that can attack in another player’s castle. At the beginning of the first round and the beginning of each round after that a pre-determined amount of coin is offered to the pot, often just a coin or two. If a player cannot pay the purse they may get an ally to pay but forfeits the entire share of the pot if the game is won in that round. A side pot or “war chest” can be established against particular players if they agree on it to the exclusion of other players. It is played as per normal rules from then on.
