Arklund

Arklund is the eastern most country in Northland. Like most of the coast line the beaches are made up of black sand beaches. While some beaches are not of black sand, they are the vast minority and others are rare. This is a peninsula country and has a single neighboring kingdom to the north. The capitol city Oljord sits on the southern tip of the peninsula. This city sits in a large bay shielded by a costal island protecting the longboats while docked. Most cities are on the coast with the exception of three, and all three are on the large inland lake in the center. Like all other Northland countries the interior of this frozen land is completely wild. Frozen forests, mountains and rivers are populated by monsters. The people of Arklund are typical of those from this continent. Physically most stand between 5’8” and 7’. Strength and physical prowess are paramount and this is obvious. Hair color ranges from an almost white blond, dirty blond to light reds and brassy browns. Eye color is exclusively blue with a rare purple or amber. Brown eyes are unheard of unless the blood is mixed with those from another continent. Skin color is always a pale color mostly due to being covered with warm clothing. Clothing is simple and often made of leather and furs. Wool is the most common cloth often made from sheep wool.
