Arcane science definition of magic

Power source   Ethereal, Astral, Shadow = Cosmic   Focus   Eldritch, Mystic, Elemental = Prime   Arcane magic   Abjuration = Eldritch + Ethereal   Conjuration = Eldritch + Astral   Divination = Mystic + Ethereal   Enchantment = Mystic + Astral   Evocation = Elemental + Ethereal   Illusion = Mystic + Shadow   Necromancy = Elemental + Shadow   Transmutation = Elemental + Astral   Divine magic   Cosmic + Prime = Divine   Magic is mysterious and enigmatic to most. Magic requires three things to function; a power source, a focus and components. The power source comes from the dimensions of power Astral the easiest to reach, Shadow a more complex dimension to reach and Ethereal the most difficult to connect to. The power or arcane energy source must be focused through an intangible force of the universe. Elemental force is the easiest to master and understand as well as the most mutable. Mystic force is the grand energy that fills the universe and Eldritch force is often confused with time by some but this is not the case. Arcane magic is mercurial and often changes resulting in many schools and combinations of power and focus. It is further complicated by components with an infinite list of materials, verbal incantations or physical somatic manipulation. While no individual knows exactly what magic is in any form some scholars think it is this mystery that powers magic itself. Divine magic works similar with the same power sources and focuses used in a very different way. The power source is made up of all things animal, vegetable or mineral. It is the focus of all things divine focused through the Prime or all forces that fill the universe. Once the power is focused it must be further focused (holy focus) into specific uses through the use of prayer.
