Amethionium

Amethionium, This alloy is created with crushed amethysts added to the ore before smelting. This gives the metal a slight purple tint when fully smelted and polished. This alloy when used in crafting various items that would touch the skin such as a circlet or even the handle of a weapon offers a relaxing effect. It stills and clears the mind offering a buffer to mind affecting spells and psionics alike. This material has a +1 to +3 bonus to saves against mind affecting spells. The bonus is determined as follows; passive +1, active but not concentrating, +3 concentrating with no other actions that require an attack or concentrations checks. In addition the +3 level can not be used while in melee combat even when no attack actions are taking place.
