Magic suddenly leaks from the world. The voices of the gods become whispers, and eventually fall silent. Once-powerful magic wielders begin to lose their abilities, and races created and sustained by magic die out, searching desperately for loopholes. Monstrous abominations become extremely powerful. Civilization retreats mostly to the coasts of continents, leaving their trackless interiors to become wild wastelands.

The party fights back, successfully attacking and killing most of the leadership. Rosmyn deals the final blow to Yperito Tou Thanatou, the Right Hand of Caddog, disintegrating him into ashes. The party sows the seeds of hatred for the followers of Blanche Le Blanc amongst the remaining members of the Hands of Caddog, and then they split up, going their separate ways for a time.
