Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Kobolds are most common in the Deeps, where they are often employed as slave labor by the Drow and the Aboleth.
On the surface, kobolds are most populous in the far northern Thyztum Mountains of Liassang, where they mostly live in mining-based communities and sometimes trade extensively with the halfling River Folk.   Like their larger cousins, kobolds have occasionally been found further south on the surface of Ferkathas. Some—particularly the more intelligent—integrate themselves with other humanoid societies, although they have a somewhat nasty reputation. Others turn up in isolated small clans, usually underground, in southern lands. Presumably these clans are escaped slaves who have journeyed upwards from the Deeps.
