The Fey

The Whimsey is home to the Fey, which is not a race exactly as it is a designation of a type of creature whose primary component is not carbon or even matter but manifested magic. The Whimsey is thought to be the origin point, the wellspring, for all the magic that suffuses and informs and powers the rest of Iotoros. The Fey then are like the bacteria that live in the blistering hot steam of underwater volcanoes: hardy beings perfectly of and suited to their environment.
The Fey have developed their own societies and come in many different varieties. They differ fundamentally from mortals by their magical nature, but also in their priorities and interests, their logic and their perspectives, and their idea of what is moral and what is taboo.

Whimsey Genies

Genies in Feodris hail from the Whimsey, although they are not native to that plane. They come in three basic types, the marijinn, the daova, and the eyfrit. Marijinn are members of and reside within the Azorna Dynasty; daova belong to the Vourdan Dynasty; and the eyfrit hail from the Crinezha Dynasty (see below).
