Haserenean Fragment

This artifact is a one-of-a-kind Augurine of undetermined origin, originally found in the Hampvern Woods near Lolorthma.
The fragment appears to be from some kind of pottery, well-crafted but too fragile to remain completely intact for millennia. The prophecy is incomplete owing to the damage to the original piece and as such it has long been considered of minor interest and importance. It was last known to have been kept at the Kretonia Institute of the Arcane in Rumbergill, though that city was destroyed during The Collapse.
The surviving text of the prophecy reads (bracketed sections include the most commonly agreed-upon phrasing, though there is some debate as to the accuracy due to damage):

...plagued by ranks of the undead
...cities soon forgotten
...{bewitched} by nightly fires
...until from gloom arise

Most Propheticists believe this prophecy originally described The Collapse in fairly specific detail, and heralded the beginning of The Shadow War.
