Lord of Fire, Incaedus
The Wildfire Shogun
Mastering the Art of War
Incaedus was said to have invented the art of blacksmithing, to bend metal meant to infuse your essence into the world around you. He claimed that all would know the beauty of his work. He made dozens, hundreds of wondrous items, weapons, and armors. Simply creating was not enough for the greedy Wildfire. He would use his greatest creations to great effect, destroying all that would question his superiority. The very nature of Ardens bent to his tempering. Soon most, if not all its denizens would pick up his craft. This passion was passed down to the mortal realm via fire genasi. The souls that absorbed the energies of Ardens would be imbued with the same desire to create as the fiery shogun himself.
Today, many blacksmiths revere him as their patron, and seek to create as he has.
The Ashen Auteur
Incaedus himself is a very arrogant ruler - he will brutally execute or enslave mortals that meddle in his affairs. The fiery lord has a clear vision that he wishes to burn into the world before he passes. He is among some of the oldest known beings, and it is said that his “great work” will continue for another eternity. Efreeti police under his rule, but this does not stop him from directly vesting denizens of his plane in person. He often delights in terrifying individuals to see if it will inhibit their ability to create.
The Burning Romantic Soul
The Wildfire is quite the hopeless romantic. When a being catches his eye the entire plane stops, and this is known to happen often. His fiery passions and emotions lead to many of these rushed, happenstance relationships burning faster than a wick. In over 10,000 years of rule he has been unable to keep a partner for more than a few days at best.
Ashfall, The Burning Blade
The Grand Artefact owned by the Ashen Auteur is a masterwork blade. Forged 10,000 times over in the hottest conditions the plane of fire has to offer, Ashfall is a mighty weapon to be feared. It is said to be able to burn through any defense; no armor can withstand its might, and wounds from this blade never heal. Mortals have dared to swindle the blade from Incaedus many times, taking advantage of his pride and oversight.
