Gnolls
Hunger Personified
Cursed with a bloodthirsty hunger, the vicious gnolls prowl the land searching for any meal they can find. Naturally lazy and often slow, gnolls prefer to get the most gain for the least effort, taking as many shortcuts as they possibly can. While their homes lie in the rolling hills of the imperial land, after the great war the efficiency of the militia and guards forced them to flee west. For a time, they plundered the dunes of Kresea until they caught wind of a land filled with lazy small delicious creatures known as Halflings. Enticed, many packs traveled south via boat and now dwell between the shires of Rollich. Not all of their fleets landed where they needed, due in large part to a failure of grasping nautical navigation. As a result, gnolls have become an invasive force that infects the entire globe, able to be found in almost any location.
Demonic Curiosities
The inherent chaotic nature of the gnolls prevents greater connected societies from rising, and has drawn the eye of demons. Enticed by the idea of a generally stupid, immoral host to rampage alongside and eventually betray, demons often use gnoll warlocks to summon themselves into the world. These warlocks, often only barely understand the summoning instructions, will more than likely summon a different creature entirely.
