Chrom

The holy land, founded by Saint Galanthia and where she ascended. Many clerics and paladins hold it very close to their hearts, as it represents freedom in all forms of expression. It was built atop the tallest mountains, where the veil is weakest and the world is closest to Atlas, home of the gods. No kingdom or government holds power here, instead guided by a collection of high bishops, the head of which is known as the grand sedibus.

Open to all seeking guidance

The gates of Chrom are open to all travelers, making it a popular, yet difficult path for those who wish to avoid the borders of the River Lily Kingdom. This liberty allows many pilgrims seeking guidance, enlightenment, or even just peace of heart and soul, a chance to meet with one of the highest priests, the luckiest of those might even meet with the head of the church of Galanthia, the Sedibus.

Geography

Chrom is the colloquial term for the tightknit mountain range around the world's tallest peaks, the titular Mount Chrom. Lower altitudes find a multitude of winding paths and roads carved through howling valleys towards the upper peaks. The higher altitudes, often stretching above the clouds, are laden with snow and ice, speckled with tiny villages along the way. The very topmost peaks of Mount Chrom are home to a beautiful hidden city of carved temples and places of power.
