The Green Knight

Designed by a group of engineers funded by the Jovian Manufacturing Conglomerate, the Green Knight is a prototype combat drone that was deployed during the Aznable Engagement. The Green Knight neutralized several Feathermen and multiple platoons of Battle Suits before Crimson Hawk managed to subdue it. During the aftermath of the battle, its Laz-Gattler, a Howitzer cannon, and a micromissile rack were recovered by the Corps and later retrofitted for Crimson Hawk's loadout.

Weapons & Armament

• Laz-greatsword
  The Laz-greatsword was meant as a proof of concept for larger Laz-based melee macroweaponry for abnormally large Battle Suit designs. Though the size of the blade was far greater than any contemporary macroweapon, particularly agile pilots could evade the monstrous greatsword with ease, proving the notion moot.
• 2 x 750mm Howitzer cannon
  Originally an anti-ship weapon scavenged from a derelict Jovian destroyer, the Howitzer cannons mounted on the unit's shoulders could disable a Starcutter-class Cruiser at close range with a single salvo. Though the recoil was tremendous, the lack of a pilot meant drastic changes in acceleration were possible and enabled the Green Knight to complete previously unimaginable maneuvers.
• 2 x Micromissile rack
  The engineers took advantage of the syndicated functions within the HAVOC system by linking the program with the guidance system of a swarm-based micromissile rack. Where an average pilot would only be able to paint an area for saturation, this unit's micromissiles are able to course correct mid-flight to maximize its effective payload.
• Laz-gattler
  A breakthrough in ranged Laz-based Macroweaponry, the fire rate of the Laz-gattler exceeds 1,500 RPM. While that pales in comparison to its conventional counterparts, Laz-weaponry had failed to produce a rapid-firing macroweapon up to this point.
• Forearm-mounted Laz-SMG
  A moderate-energy automatic Laz-macroweapon mounted on the underside of the left forearm.

• HAVOC Operating System
  Based on stolen data from the FEATHER system and the work of the Martian Institute of the Synthetic Encephalon, the HAVOC system is a completely autonomous piloting program capable of self-learning and independent decision making in the heat of battle. While the system itself is highly effective in combat, the autodidactic AI rewrote its programmed limitations and prevented any remote alterations to its base code, locking out the engineers that designed the unit during the Aznable Engagement. Fortunately, the rogue program was destroyed in its lengthy duel with Crimson Hawk of the Magma Guard.
