Origin-Phases: Kanna's origin is phases. Said origin reflects her changing lifestyle. This also gives her the ability to transform into various animals.

Personal history
Kanna lived with her mage family, who used their minor magecraft to farm the land. She liked to wander around in the forest, & one day, she found an ancient shrine to Cháng'é, a lunar goddess. She stayed so long that it got dark, & rather than trying to get home, she decided to spend the night. She often stayed away from home overnight, so she knew her parents wouldn't be worried. While there she was attacked by thieves, who planned to use her to force her family to pay them everything they had. She heard this, & prayed to the goddess to help her. Kanna turned into a bear, & in a blind rage, killed her captors. Afterward, she blacked out, & awoke to find herself covered in blood, surrounded by the bodies of her family, torn apart by her own claws. This traumatic event awakened her origin, "Phases", which allowed her to shapeshift into different animals, but Kanna believes that Chàng'é heard her prayer & gave her the power to change her shape. Since then, she has spent most of her time practicing & training to keep her mind when she changes, but she still can loose herself if she transforms in anger, or out of fear.

Helped in killing Jack Jackson II.
Mental Trauma
On the night Kanna awakened her origin, she was kidnapped by bandits who wanted to use her for ransom. She blacked out & woke up to both of her parent's dead bodies, mauled in front of her. Ever since then Kanna has been hesitant to trust people, going so far as to even avoid speaking.

Daughter of Chen & Emi Liang. Kanna & her parents used to be very close, until she killed both of them. Niece to Hsien Liang, who participated in the Wuhan Holy Grail War.
