Ancestral Bodies: Ausir's unique magecraft allows him to revive & brainwash the dead using masks carved of wood. However the bodies he uses this with will decompose at double the rate, & he can only have 14 active bodies at a time. The process for this includes transferring the ka of his family members into new bodies via the wooden masks.

Personal history
Ausir’s family once owned farmland that was burned in a conflict with the terrorist organization Magai & the Egyptian government when he was 14. Because of this he resents them both, thinking that he should be the one to rule Egypt. In his grief he found a way to resurrect his parents via Ancestral Bodies. Kills the members of Magai at the start of the series, kidnapping several of their bodies to use with his magic.
