Personal history

According to the Shinto legend, after Susano-o was expelled from Heaven, he encountered two weeping earthly deities near a river in the Izumo Province. After asking why they wept, they explained that they had to give the Orochi one of their daughters every year to prevent his violent rampage, & now they must sacrifice their eighth & final daughter, Kushinada. Susano-o was taken aback by Kushinada's astounding beauty & asked for her hand in marriage. Kushinada agreed that if he could defeat the Orochi, she would be his bride. Susanoo comes up with a plan to defeat the evil serpent. Kushinada's parents must brew sake, & refine it eight times. They must also build an enclosure with eight gates, each of which includes a vat of sake. When the Orochi arrives, he is lured towards the sake, & dips each of his heads into one of the vats. The drunken beast is now weakened & disoriented, allowing Susano-o to quickly slay it with a Totsuka no Tsurugi named Ame-no-Habakiri. But before he can the Yamata no Orochi is revealed to have been Kushinada all along. Susanoo spares Kushinada's life in exchange for her hand in marriage. As thanks Kushinada gives him the Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi from her body. is later presented to Amaterasu as a gift to reconcile their dispute. The two then make up some lie that Susanoo turned Kushinada into a comb & left it in his hair during the battle. Afterwards Susanoo built a grand palace in Izumo where he & Kushinada were married. Together they produced Yashimashinumo, who is considered the ancestor of Okuninushi.

Likes: Sake! That's how my husband caught me in the first place after all. However it's also sake's fault that I promised him all of those things. Maybe I'll just stick to food, for now.
Dislikes: My elder sisters were always borrowing things from me. With 9 of us our parents had a hard time keeping track of what belongings belonged to who. Of course I took care of that problem.
