Marked at Birth
Born to parents of modest means, Taldrin was marked at birth with one completely white eye. Told this is the mark of divine favor his parents quickly travel to Farone seeking confirmation. After much seeking they are told, that this is the touch of Mystia, and no more. Assured that Taldrin's fate is laid before him, yet none the wiser of her ways, they return home.

Fast forward 20 years
Taldrin serves as Captain of the local militia. He has grown. Assured of his destiny, climbing the ranks of the local militia, he protects their lands against incursions through the demon gates and he does it well. His personality draws others to him, loud, boisterous, he begrudgingly listens to his superiors when it suits him. After all, it's his destiny to know what's best, and his men follow him unquestioningly. After a particularly nasty demon incursion he is sent south to seek clarification as to why demon activity has increased south of the gates and it is here that Mystia begins to reveal his path.
