Ryadalis
Ryadalis is the homeland of the high elves. Little is known about the inner workings of the nation by those of other lands. Rydalis ruled by a long-running royal bloodline, the Ulchara family. The Ulcharas, as well as many other of the great houses possess innate sorcerous abilites that are passed down to each generation.
In Rydalis, the worship of devils is quite present just under the surface. An unspoken tradition, where those in power barter with fiends to gain advantage over their rivals, but do not utter a word about it outside ceremony. Children born deviltouched from these deals are treated as slaves to their "pure" families. Those who overreach, whose devil worship goes to far and becomes obvious to others are punished. The crime of devil communion is more of a tool used to subjugate enemies that one already has some poweer over than a truly reviled crime. Contrarily, demon worship is outright forbidden. It can be punished by death or banishment.
Outwardly, most Rydalisians give regards to their fey ancestors. They praise gods like Aunera and Thyar, not for their domains, but so they can claim heritage of those that ascended to godhood. The capital city of Rydalis exists in two planes simultaneously, a tremendous magical feat. It spans the border of the Material Plane and the Feywild. It is one of the only ways to travel the two planes without dealing with temporal inconsistences.
Rydalis is populated by primarily high elves, but it also has a reasonably large populous of eladrin. Do to the dual nature of its capital, the neighboring region also contains a number of other fey races, such as satyrs and goblins. Most other races still avoid Rydalis, as the native elves believe themselves to be far superior to their neighbors.
