Organic Dragons
Unlike their more fantastical kin, Organic Dragons are creatures of flesh, bone, and instinct, shaped as much by their environments as by the lingering traces of magic in their blood. They are apex predators, survivors of a world that has tested them, and their adaptations reflect that struggle. While still unmistakably dragons, they lack the exaggerated magical traits of Chimeric or Serpentine Dragons, instead relying on raw physical power, keen intelligence, and finely tuned survival instincts.
Their forms vary based on their habitats—some are massive, four-legged terrors that dominate vast territories, their wings vestigial or absent, built for endurance rather than flight. Others have powerful, muscular frames, capable of short bursts of winged speed but preferring to run, climb, or swim as their primary mode of movement. Their scales, coloration, and even breath weapons are often dictated by natural selection rather than arcane influence, their abilities developing in response to predators, prey, and the landscapes they call home.
To many scholars, Organic Dragons represent the most stable and enduring lineage of dragonkind, creatures that have evolved within the constraints of the natural world, rather than fighting against it. Though still magical beings, their abilities feel primal rather than arcane, as if their magic has been tempered by the weight of survival rather than the chaos of creation.
They may not shape storms with a thought or weave the elements with a flick of their tails, but they are no less formidable. Their power is tangible, brutal, and efficient—the might of predator perfected by time, sharpened against the stone of history, and proven by the simple fact that they have endured.
