The Bad Luck Blitzkrieg
The Bad Luck Blitzkrieg met as a group of prisoners in Great Fortress of Jord, each sentenced to life on the inescapable island prison for various crimes, both true and false. But in short order they were able to overcome the guards watching over their cell block and stormed their way out through tunnels to the lawless bounds of Inner Jord. While searching for a way to escape back to civilization, they became bound together by convenience and then friendship, even finding more allies as they traveled. Each member of the party also had their own hidden objectives they sought to accomplish or had tasks thrust upon them along the way.
The Original Four
Lapis Amaranthine: Before arriving in Jord, Lapis, then under the alias Euphoria Cloud Nine, was a dark-furred Tabaxi was a member of Glass Family Syndicate, an organization operating in the criminal underworld of Asada. She was quick to flirt with most anyone as a follower, and cleric, of the resurgent cult of the goddess Sharess, who focused on hedonism and liberal sexuality. She took the fall for a crime she didn't commit in hopes of locating her missing brother and saving the family legacy. She also had the promise of assistance from the group's namesake, Mr. Glass. These promises of inside help proved false and with her loyalty was shaken, she was spurred to escape all the more. Arguably the main instigator that led to the formation of the Bad Luck Blitzkrieg, she was the first to break free of the Dwarven guards. Also, during her time on Inner Jord she formed a relationship with a male Gnoll named Udoud. Trying to get home safely with her brother and Gnoll lover also caused her to uncovered secrets proving her former boss was actually a plaything in larger schemes. This made her want to confront Mr. Glass once she was able to secure her family inheritance. Once he was handled one way or another, she wanted to settled down and marry her lover. Phuc Eng Her: A Half-Elf with a rough past, Phuc Her was from the Kingdom of Glayswen and sent to Jord for terrorism and repeated assault against nobles and officials of his homeland supporting the Great War. He was very attuned to nature and worshipped the god Obad-Hai. During his experiences in the war, he furthered his connection with his deity by forging a warlock pact, which also fueled his attempts to sabotage the war effort for the sake of his homeland. Phuc Her was a guarded individual, but after escaping Jord with the others he considered it as a point of honor to stay with them for their goals for a while before attempting to go home to Glayswen. Spending time with them, he also gradually began seeking a path as a druid and learned about the stars from his wizard companion, Scarlet. Sasimay Swayson: A fire Genasi and the elder Swayson sister, Sasimay stayed with her father when her parents separated. She spent years away as her father moved from place to place, always looking for one last big score. Moving among the criminal elements of Asada, Sasimay learned to be tough and hold her own in a fight. But years with her father and no sign of his travels nearing an end, she left him to join her sister, who had recently become an acolyte within the Celestian Theocracy. When her sister called out a bishop during a service, she stood by her sister and intimidated the bishop through force until he soiled himself. It was little surprise when she was sent to Jord along with her sister for heresy against the Faith. During the group's escape from the Great Fortress, Sasimay claimed the sword belonging to the block's Cell Master as a prize. Thinking little of it, she carried it and used it to fight through the tunnels that led to the surface. But when they encountered the Cell Master on the brink of death, he gasped that he was "glad to be rid of it" with his dying breath. The party was confused by this until Sasimay suddenly began hearing a voice in her head. The sword she had claimed was, in fact, a hell-forged blade that bound her soul in service to a devil that called himself Derzeth at the moment of the Dwarf's death. With little recourse, she attuned herself to the blade and enacted the second pact of her contract, gaining power that proved invaluable to the party's escape. But once the party was safely out of Inner Jord, Derzeth compelled her to leave. She agreed for their sake and promised to rejoin them as soon as she was able. Scarlet Swayson: The younger Swayson sister, Scarlet was raised devoutly in the faith of Celestian. When her parents separated, she remained with her mother and was educated in a local church school. When she came of age, she formally joined the Faith and became an acolyte. She studied magic and started the path to becoming a wizard. However, her studies also gave her a new sense of clarity as she realized that portents and teachings of the higher priests did not align with the core values Celestianism esteems. This incongruity caused a growing frustration in her, though she did find comfort in being suddenly reunited with her older sister Sasimay. Sometime afterwards, the pair were listening to a sermon being attended by the region's bishop. Hearing his words that were, in her view, misguiding the congregation, Scarlet suddenly called out the bishop and confronted him, charging him and the Archbishop of corrupting the teachings of Celestian. Scarlet, and her sister, who had assaulted the bishop in defense of Scarlet, were both condemned for heresy and sentenced to exile in Jord. While roaming the prison island Scarlet was granted several visions with her god, each time feeling more and more that the decline of the true faith was weakening Celestian. She was eager to return home and overturn the high clergy, even if it meant sparking a religious civil war across Asada.Joined and Honorary Members
Kumi: Kumi was a young and roguish Tiefling that had been sent to Jord as a child for murder. Expertly sneaky, she eventually found a hidden path from Inner Jord through the Underdark to the highlands of Outer Jord. From there, she found her way to a pirate hideout in the swamps. She lived on the outskirts, scrounging what she needed to survive and relying on the odd bit of random charity. This lasted until she was taken in by the owners of the hideout's bordello/tavern. She worked there until the Blitzkrieg bartered passage with another Tiefling captain named Harmony. She insured that they were given passage at a fair rate and decided to travel with them, finally looking to see the real free world. Jai Skysden: A Half-Elf from the Republic of Sorna, Jai was a member of the Grinner secret organization that worked to help those affected by the Great War. The party met her as a maroon on a mysterious island on the outskirts of the treacherous Dosite Archipelago. Her companions had been killed by the island's untamed creatures. It turned out she had ventured there in hopes of finding "free" treasure from the Glittering Reef that she could bring back. She had indeed found it, but lost her ship right after. And so she entreated the party, and the crew of the ship bearing them, to help her reclaim some of the riches in exchange for shares. Together, they were able to kill the sharks in the area and haul up many chests and golden cannonballs before resuming course for Asada. When they made landfall, Jai remained on the ship but promised to help Lapis by trying to use the Grinner network to stall her sister's travel. She said she might try to rejoin them if the opportunity presented itself. Bucci Glust: A surprisingly tall and full-figured Tabaxi, Bucci was a druid that lived in a secluded oasis hidden in a rocky area of the Restless Dunes of Uharhia. She lived in such a remote area to help those who found themselves lost and stranded in the vast desert. She'd also encountered a few members of the party in passing situations years before the formation of the Blitzkrieg and events of the Jord Escape. Pavel Medvezhonok: A Bearfolk living in Asada after being exiled from the Brovian Imperium. He was raised in an Imperium orphanage and conscripted into the army as a shock trooper. After failing to kill an enemy soldier and getting separated from his unit he became disillusioned with the fight, leading to his dishonorable discharge and exile, with threat of death should he return. With no prospects in Vyrania, he left for Asada and eventually opened a tavern that became popular for providing a chilled interior.Structure
The Bad Luck Blitzkrieg had no formal hierarchy of leadership, operating mostly by committee and group consensus. Each member had a specialty of knowledge that was useful across proved useful in the various situations they were put against. That said, during the early days of the group, Lapis Amaranthine seemed to take the most initiative as the party's face and prime mover.
Culture
At its formation, the Blitzkrieg was three quarters Asadan. But as the party journeyed individuals from across the globe influenced or joined them in their adventures, even becoming honorary members in some cases. Truly, the party was a melting pot of ideals and goals, displaying a rare sense of unity during the chaos of the war touching more of their world every day.
Public Agenda
Initially, the obvious goal of the group was to escape Inner Jord. Once that was achieved though, all of them had individual ends they sought to sort out, with both private and potentially far-reaching consequences yet to be learned.

Allies
Admiral Amaranthine: The older brother to Lapis, he was a well-read and eloquent Tabaxi. He'd maintained loose ties to the Glass Family, but was sent to Jord after selling a counterfeit of a famous painting to a member of the Celestian clergy. While there he became entangled in the machinations of a mysterious individual known as "E". Bringing him back was key to Lapis saving their inheritance from their older sister, Fuchsia. After the party reached Djepesut, the regional capital of Uharhia, Admiral abandoned the group by rushing ahead of the party. He sent back a message to warn the party of what lied ahead on the Asadan mainland after he had sold the ancient crown he claimed from Morhid's hoard and moved to flee to the Free Cities. Mymmassed: A relatively young silver dragon, she is the daughter of the ancient mercury dragon Morhid. She appears as a female humanoid with a constant ethereal glow about her that obscures some of her facial features. After seeing that her psychotic mother's resurrection was thwarted by the Blitzkrieg, she offered them all the chance to claim a gift from her mother's hoard. Sasimay also expressed an attraction to Mymmassed, who unfortunately had never received or experienced feelings of affection. Sasimay was at least able to slightly break through her cool demeanor with a kiss. The party also left one half of a pair sending stones with her so that they would be able to stay in touch. After reaching Tatanis, Sasimay bought a pair of communication mirrors and magically sent one to Mymmassed so that they could could keep in touch more easily. Niks: A Kobold the party saved from the criminal Oberth Nesher on Inner Jord. He was a very capable, if overhasty, engineer. He designed a working airship that the party was able to utilize and traverse much of Inner Jord safely. When the party met the Kobold tribe in control of the Broken Citadel, he decided to leave in exile with his brother rather than be imprisoned for revealing secrets of the tribe to outsiders. Rav: The brother of Niks, Rav was much more shy and contemplative. He was said to the the one that would moderate the more outrageous ideas of his brother. He was killed by one of Oberth Nesher's bandits, but Niks saved one of his horns for use in a resurrection ritual once they reached his tribe. Sure enough, he was brought back, only to be told he would face imprisonment separated from his brother for revealing tribal secrets. After hearing from members of the Blitzkrieg, he decided to join his brother in exile so that they would at least be together. Rhal: An elderly Half-Orc, Rhal, also affectionately called "Tundra Dad" by Phuc Her, was an early ally to the Bad Luck Blitzkrieg. He had two pet owlbears and offered the party shelter on their first night in Inner Jord. They made such an impression on him in various ways that the next day he revealed he had been planning to kill them in the night for supplies, but they had reminded him of life with others and better times. He was briefly with the party during the debacle at Oberth's Town, but afterwards told them that he was too old to think of escape. He wished them well and promised to seek out survivors to create a true safe haven for those released to Inner Jord. Udoud: Seemingly insane when the party first encountered him, Udoud was a Gnoll within Oberth's Town. The party found out that he had actually suffered a mental break before coming to Jord and, through a combination of magic and divine action, brought him back to sanity. From there he joined the party and nervously followed the orders of Lapis as her sexual plaything while the group journeyed towards escape. As time went on, however, the pair came to an understanding that there really was mutual love between them. This was a mixed bag for the rest of the party, as the pair began having loud sex on a more frequent basis afterwards. After reaching Asada, the pair decided to consider themselves informally married. There was also a possibility that the couple was pregnant, if in an incredibly early stage. However, Lapis was injured by necromantic energies during a battle with demons. Uncertain as to whether they had lost a child and now worried about bringing a new life into the world at all, the couple instead decided to adopt a Human orphan. Udoud proved to be an intensely protective father. Wisp: An air Genasi, Wisp was Lapis' former partner-in-crime within the Glass Family Syndicate. However, during a job about three years before the events of the Jord Escape, Wisp had fallen behind during an escape and been captured. He was sent to Jord as punishment, where he survived by magically disguising himself and joining a group of wandering merchants. He revealed himself to Lapis and joined the party in their mission to escape, but promised to leave crime and retire once he was safely home again. After the party disrupted the resurrection of Morhid, Wisp claimed a massive sapphire as his share of the reward and quietly planned for it to serve as his retirement fund. He stuck with the group even after reaching Asada, only leaving once they had entered the gates of Tatanis. Once safely within the capital, he declared that he was formally washing his hands of the Blitzkrieg and wished them all well before disappearing into the crowded streets.Connections
Glass Family Syndicate: While their current status with the Glass Family is unknown, there are potential ties to the Asadan criminal underworld that could prove very useful in times to come, provided that they are on the good side of Mr. Glass... Or would it be better to get rid of him? The Grinners: Thanks to their acquaintanceship with Jai Skysden, the party now has partial access to the massive Grinner information and smuggling network. Harm and the Sea Hawk: Pirate captain Harmony of the Sea Hawk, along with her crew, proved essential to the party's escape from Jord. While Harmony thought the presence of the group had proved a hassle and asked that they never seek passage with him again, he could probably be convinced to reconsider... For the right price, of course.Wealth
