The Highlands

The Highlands are controlled by nomadic tribes that travel with their livestock, though they tend to remain in certain areas more than others based on complicated inter-clan politics. As such it's hard to define borders except as a whole, though any clansman would be able to tell you where to find another clan, roughly.

The Midlands

The Midlands consist of a number of independent kingdoms, all with non-aggression pacts or better. This is the band of the grasslands as they start getting some sporadic temperate forests and hilly lands that are equally good for growing of food and rearing of livestock.

The Lowlands

Eighty percent of the Lowlands have been united under the High King of Feshaesia, either by diplomacy or by conquest. It is rumored his eyes are now looking north toward the Midlands.
