Patron Bound
Must not have taken the Lucky Bastard or Stoneborn feats
Grants you a Patron (another feat for free "technically"), chosen from the 7 listed below. They are also given a random alignment (Chaotic Evil, Lawful Good, etc or see Optional Social Interaction and Alignment Rules section) that impacts their treatment of the player.
You may take the effects of another Patron as an additional feat, though you do not gain another Patron, just bound closer to the one you already have.
Once per day (per number of Patron feats you’ve taken) the Patron will attempt to take over the player, frequently engaging in acts to their benefit or preference. This lasts for 10 minutes per failed WIS or CHA Save (the DC will gradually get more difficult).
For low-impact Patrons (with only one or two Patron feats taken) this should mostly used for narrative (or silly) purposes by the GM.
For average-impact Patrons this should be disruptive, but not end in Player death.
High-impact Patrons should be killing the nearest thing whether it's friend or foe, and if friend is all that's left, they're next
DM Notes In low-magic (or just other) settings feel free to ignore the Patron takeover penalty for all but the Patron of Rage (which is based somewhat on berserkers from norse mythology, so you can just treat a failed check as "battle madness" rather than a Patron taking control). If doing so, low impact Patrons should be treated the same, but average impact Patron abilities might need slight nerfing or penalties. For example, the Patron of Shadows grants the Vanish spell, and in a low-magic campaign I might treat that as the ability to Hide in Plain Sight that gives the player a +10 bonus to Stealth checks while in use.
Taking the Divinity feat grants a +5 to the WIS or CHA Patron Save.
Choose one of the following Patron Effects (they may also be taken as feats, so this list just links to those)
Patron of Rage (high impact Patron)-
Patron of Wisdom (low impact Patron) -
Patron of Intellect (low impact Patron) -
Patron of Shadows (average impact Patron) - this can be lowered to a Low-Impact Patron by sacrificing one of the supernatural abilities that it grants
Patron of Nature (low impact Patron) -
Patron of Death (average impact Patron)-
Patron of War (low impact Patron) -
