Respirator Mk. 2

The Respirator Mark 2 is a cybernetic manufactured by Medico intended to filter smoke an non-lethal toxins from the respitory system before they reach the lungs. Lining the nasal and sinus walls with semi-permeable polymer and self-cleaning micro-filters allows the user to breath easy. The Mark 2 replaced it predecessor in 2290, due to the inefficiency of the Mark 1, which needed regular filter changes, and plated most of the nose, making it very "ugly" in consumer eyes. This improved variant is a simple two line along the nose, curving with the sinuses, creating a sleek design.
