Cyber Leg Generation I

The first iteration of the functional, mechanical legs, this design by Medico was groundbreaking during the 2280's, allowing those disabled and unable to walk to do just that. It was not without its issues though, like the Cyber Arm Generation I, it struggled to keep up with the organic limbs it was replacing, and required frequent tune ups due to the weight contantly being placed on it. Additionally, it featured a single plate making up what would have been toes, with minimal flexibility between the foot and the front plate, it left a noticeable limp in its user. Despite these drawbacks, it became highly sought after, especially among veterans of the Mojave Military, as well as NCR Military who remained in the Mojave. Despite the newer Generation II outshining this first model, it still remains a cheaper option for those who can't afford high end items.
