Bophelo's Razor

Bophelo's title as Blooddrainer began before The Seven were sealed, and was quickly realized again when his ruthless style caused dissension in the Dhampir house. Skirmishes with nearby tribes would become bloodbaths, their bodies draw their last breath and drop no sooner than they see his blade. The blade had been with Bophelo since the beginning, a dagger not forged for combat but lethal nonetheless. For a short period the rampaging Bophelo was exiled from The Seven, but the imminent threats of the Upper Deserts' fangs shined wisdom onto Bophelo's merciless ways. They beckoned his return in desperation, and regarded him as a protector and a savior for his vicious actions. Nightking Makatsa was no less capable, but refused to dirty his hands. Petty combat is beneath the Nightking, for they rule over the black sky and tread not upon its forgotten grounds. As ruler, Makatsa organized Bophelo's attacks, and The Seven grew in influence.   In Bophelo's unwritten rising to divine power, his blade became ceremonial, symbolic of a new Nightking's succession. It would be held by the Nightking's strongest follower, the Hunter. The foul beast responsible for killing in the Nightking's name. And the old King's blood is spilled. The razor, too, is then possessed by the Hunter, currently First Commander Yuniti, controlling the district which houses the Nightking Masoabi himself. Bophelo's ascension is shrouded in mystery, but it is known that with each life taken by his razor it grows stronger, for greater be the blessing of many sacrifices. For this reason, he is viewed by the uninformed eye as a deity of murder and hatred, though his following depicts him as benevolent, a protector who does what is necessary for his people.
