Fahiamel
140X, II, 059
Fahiamel is a large territory on the Material plane within the Eviare, which hosts an unnatural variety of biomes and creatures. There are plenty of factors this can be accredited to; There are many powerful deities that directly affect the geography, these lands were formed millennia ago, heroes are highly respected, and Fahiamel is heavily populated. Despite the change of the past few centuries, anarchy remains a constant as political figures and war chiefs struggle for territory and power. Those who can fight are easily employed, making it a popular career for disadvantaged families. Pride in their lands among leaders formed many factions and worshippers of the strange deities will carelessly conflict, and countless guilds and organizations have been formed over time.
The lands themselves are unusual, this includes weird properties attached to their stones and scattered artifacts from the land's past which only operate under certain conditions. Deities will not hesitate to manifest themselves or ask favors of the mortal. The undead has been disappearing, and many eccentric spellcasters with violent intentions lead crusades or massacres. Barriers and curses are abused and used to control the masses in smaller areas. Local legends determine a great deal, as rumors are the savviest way to learn about the most relevant threats one's area faces.
Many noble families are recognized, but few are respected universally since the capitals and fiefs have complicated relationships. A Duke from Aljana would be captured and imprisoned in Alkhadra, but privileged in their own lands. Because of this, a person's place of birth and loyalty is detrimental to their relationships with certain factions or leaders. The mystic arts are always being studied and expanded, and many teachings have been lost in the ruins of Triyavil, or the desecrated cities of The Wastelands. This allows for unknown arts to be practiced by different peoples within different circles and alienates people of different lands further as their culture, crafts, materials, and spells are all unique.
