Pickwickian Forest

Right before the Dark Forest lies a booksmart town full of thriving libraries and bookstores. Or maybe right after, depending on where you're coming from. Regardless, Pickwickian Forest harbors quiet and independent fairies who would love nothing more than to curl up with a good novel.
Tall pines drape over the sky, creating a dim atmosphere for those below. If you stay still, you'll notice the soft hum of small creeks and chirping birds. Earth Fairies love the bits of light peak that through certain spots of the canopy, though certain Dark Fairies just might enjoy the shadows.

The Raven's Quill ┊The Raven's Quill bookstore. They also sell calligraphy sets: very scholarly.
Solace Athenaeum ┊The town's big library, hosting books from all over. A good spot if you’re ever curious about the history of Faetalia, or just any interesting tidbits, this is the place.

Environment

• Big and small mushrooms scatter about the tall pine trees that grow here. Small creeks trickle through grassbeds. Because the trees are so thick, a rather dim shadow is cast.
• The sunlight that escapes through certain leaves along with the soft glow of mysterious mushrooms allow just enough natural light for foliage to grow. Lanterns sway from the branches of the trees.
• Homes are built near the pines. They are often beside, inside, or even perched on the sturdiest of branches.
• There's an endless amount of quiet spots that are perfect for cracking open a good book!

Culture

• The fairies that live in Pickwickian Forest are dutiful scholars. They love to read, learn, and write all things knowledge.
• There are frequent Book Clubs that bring community members together to bond over the latest reads. Tea parties are also common, sometimes overlapping with the activity above.
• While there are many fairies willing to learn, there are also plenty willing to teach! Unique schools pop up around Pickwickian Forest. They are nontraditional and focus on the genuine love of learning/teaching. Students venture through the land and observe nature, hear tales from history, and all else relevant to fairykind.
