Elara Farwind (on the left) is the elder of the Farwind twins by mere minutes, but those minutes have always felt like a lifetime of responsibility to her. Born into a family with a lineage rumored to carry ancient magical blood, Elara was the one who never manifested such gifts. Instead, she honed her physical abilities and trained rigorously in combat, driven by a deep-seated desire to protect her sister, Selene, who did inherit their family's arcane power.
Elara is a disciplined and focused warrior, and she is known for her agility and tactical prowess on the battlefield, able to strike swiftly and decisively. While she may not possess magical abilities, her skill with weapons and her sharp mind make her a formidable force. Her determination to provide for their ailing mother and ensure Selene’s safety drives her to take on dangerous quests and protect their family at all costs.
Despite her serious demeanor, Elara has a deep bond with her sister and often plays the role of the protector, both in combat and in life. She is fiercely loyal, not just to her family but also to those she considers friends. Once old enough, the twins have spent most of their time doing odd jobs and honing their combat skills while caring for their mother, Lyanna, who has been mildly ill for about six years. Her symptoms were manageable—a persistent cough and occasional weakness—and they ensured she received treatments to keep her comfortable and slowly recover. However, when her condition recently took a sharp decline, they sought help from a cleric, who diagnosed her with a newly discovered, incurable disease spreading in the region.
Faced with this dire news, the sisters decided to cut their training short and apply to become adventurers, hoping to earn enough to afford better treatments for their mother.
The Farwind's Troubles
