Due to the stress and harrowing experience of the invasion on the city, the party spends some time within the refugee camp recuperating, re-evaluating, and expanding their views of the world....

After the harrowing experience of the invasion, the party spent some time reflecting on the situation and reassessing their goals, place, and targets while resting in the refugee camp full of citizens from the now overrun, but contained, city. Field Warden Rhassar had sent riders to the capital to inform the Emperor of the situation and was able to get reinforcements to aide in containing the threat, but was unable to retake the city as a whole due to the limited forces available due to the current simmering war with the Sembian Kingdom and the inability to recall the forces quickly.   Over the course of the time spent in the camp however, the group separated and spent their time reflect individually or kept busy with camp tasks as a whole.   Moving among the people in the camp Griz found Rainna and Judge mourning over the loss of many members of the Taloned Reach who never made it out of the city and discussing military movements with the Field Warden. While sitting with them and spending time with the stern man and his men, Griz was invited to train new members of the Guard to replace the many people lost to the demons. During that time he also spent time training himself under the watchful eye of Rhassar, a seasoned and accomplished fighter, who imparted new techniques and advice to the former gladiator about learning to find balance in situations without resorting to blind combat.   Tallulah moved among the refugees lifting spirits, collecting their stories, and sharing in their tears recognizing the confusion and pain they were in with no way to express it. Hearing stories of bravery, daring escapes, loss, hope, and encouragement each person seemed to be in varying stages of grief and acceptance over what has happened. While remembering her own time in the Abbey and escaping the torn city she worked on processing her own trials and tribulations trying to seperate what she knew as the truth and what the very common people of Oberrun observed in the fires and smong the hordes. Pulling in the experiences, happiness, and despair of those in the camp she formed the Song of Oberrun to make sure no one else forgets what the people went through or lost.   Snarlsburg reflected on the unpreparedness of the group while within the Abbey and the headlong dash into danger. In his own thoughts of the group, he realized the connections he had formed and care he felt for the people that he hadn't had in a long while. Gathering up bits around the camp he spent time crafting symbols for the members of his new "clan." He also reconnected with various members of The Mask who had managed to escape the city and learned new ways to craft vicious darts that can addle the mind of those they hit. He resolved to not be caught unprepared with his family again.   Babbitt spent time looking over a strange scroll they had found on the body of one of the demons sealed with darkness. In doing so he uncovered a connection to a pocket dimension and a Marut named Concorde who was on the hunt for an ancient scientist named Albert who was operating outside the natural order and manipulating forces with unnatural energies. Seeing a connection between his own mission, the Marut's, and the Cult the group has had interactions with he engaged in a pact to help Concorde while gaining new power in exchange.   With Whisp back at his side, Seek thought on the danger his new family was in as well as the unknown danger his old tribe was still in. With this vengeance burning, he was summoned by the great dragon god Lendys, backed by the other great dragon gods, who had sensed Seek's connection to the dragon controlling the tribe. While caring little for the tribe, Lendys cared greatly about the dragon Algethoryx and the crimes against dragonkind he seemingly had commited. Seek, seeing an opportunity to free his tribe and protect his new family in the same stroke, became the Chosen of Lendys with orders to maintain the Balance, honor, and protection in the name of the dragon lords. In becoming the Chosen he gained half of a Shard of Yrdall with instructions to complete it as well as gaining the Eyes of Asgorath, a grain of power from the first creator, allowing Seek to see truth through time.   Upset and distressed over the series of events in Oberrun Nym spent time away from the group with her thoughts and her prayers to her goddess, Selune. Concerned that she may be disappointing Selune, Nym lamented about the brokenness of the world around her. Hearing her cries an elderly woman sat and assuaged her concerns trying to bring comfort amongst the despair. In doing so Nym was told to venture back to Calis, the place of her imprisonment, and that there was a Shard being hunted for beneath the desert sands protected by an ancient Titan.   Gathering themselves up at the end of this time with new revelations and reflections the party moved with new purpose southward toward Kesselaide and eventually the Calis in the shifting sands of the Sembian Kingdom, leaving the camp and what may happen to the overtaken city in the hands of the Field Warden and the people there.
