Under the direction of the Bhaalspawn Sarevok, the Iron Throne plotted to destroy the iron supply of the Sword Coast. Sarevok would then become Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate. However, their plans were thwarted by the actions of another Bhaalspawn, the Hero of Baldur's Gate, who slew Sarevok in the Undercity of the very city Sarevok plotted to take over.
