Force Grey
Force Grey is a small, elite group of adventuers forming the last line of defense for the city of Waterdeep. Force Grey reports directly to the Blackstaff (current Vajra Safahr), but otherwise has little in the way of a command structure. The group is called up whenever a high-powered threat presents itself that is beyond the scope of the City Guard or Watchful Order. However, the city's leadership is loathe to call up Force Grey, owing to the group's tendency of causing significant structural damage in combat.
While Force Grey is a small, elite group, Vajra Safahr also commands a similar group named the Gray Hands. They act as a private security force for the Blackstaff and a way for adventurers to eventually join Force Gray. Members of the Gray Hands are tasked with less significant issues to the city, typically investigating threats before they present themselves. Many of these tasks are intended to tax the resources and abilities of their members, in order to show the Blackstaff what they are capable of and test their loyalty to Waterdeep.
