Flumph

Flumphs are small, hovering creatures that live in the Underdark. Their name comes from the jets they use to propel themselves through the air. Flumphs siphon psionic energy from nearby beings, often mind flayers, aboleths, or gith. However, flumphs are benevolent creatures, and only take as much psionic energy as they need - to the point that most creatures do not even notice. Flumphs prefer the mental energies of non-evil creatures, and will flock to those they view as good-heated. Flumphs communicate telepathically, and their soft glow reflects their mood. They live in small groups called cloisters, reaching sizes of up to 30 flumphs.
