The Maiden King

Ruling in the 12th century Dalereckoning the so called Maiden King was a prominet figure in Amphail's history. He ruled the lands that Amphail once occupied, lording over a modestly sized kingdom. But he wished to expand his domain. He launched a series of wars of conquest about the neighboring lands, this would prove disastrous in the end. He was ambushed by the armies of Waterdeep when his own force were crossing the mountain pass now known as The Pass of Spear Point Lake. They were killed to a man. His family were able to retrieve his body and the bodies of his closest followers from the lord of Waterdeep to be burred. His original name and house is all but lost to history as is his resting place.

At least lost to historians. The Tomb of The Maiden King was recently uncovered by a band of People Who Do Jobs For Money under Horse Pond in Amphail.
