Tym Waterdeep Limited
Founded in 1342 by Justin Tym, Tym Waterdeep Limited is the premier publishing house of Waterdeep. It had trouble asserting itself for a few years before striking gold with the Volo's Guide series. The first book Volo's Guide to All Things Magical was a smash hit and thrust Tym into the spotlight of publishing. They have went on to publish the entirety of the Volo's Guide series as well as other notable books such as, The Culinary Applications of Magic by Gormaanda, To The Future and Back a Time Travelers Reflection by Martin MacSwim, and Magic is Dangerous, You Should Play With It by Galaster Brownshawl.
Their offices are located in the lower castle ward constructed within a converted warehouse that doubles as a printing center. The printing is done by a number of imps summoned by wizards on staff. The wizards are also there to screen for any infernal runes or magic that are not in the original texts. The factory can turn out around four and a half thousand moderately sized books a month using four of the newly invented printing press.
