The Ilnatar Family
The Ilnatar Family was a brood of vampires who lived for centuries in Ylraphon, steering politics and generally working to prosper the port city. The Ilnatars' vampirism went nearly unnoticed, despite many overt signs they did not care to hide. Their ancestral home lay on magically preserved foundations on the east side of town. The fabulous manor stood for centuries, surviving multiple raids and destructions in Ylraphon.
Shortly after the Dream of Days in 1495 DR, the family became avid worshipers of the new god Donlad. Their matriarch, Aleratha Ilnatar, had not been seen in centuries. Her children ran the house, with Amrul Ilnatar leading affairs and speaking for the family. Aria Ilnatar became scarcely seen, frequently trekking elsewhere for unknown reasons.
On the night Amrul was killed in the manor, the ancestral home also burned to the ground. The other members of the brood were unaccounted for, though some claimed to have seen a large figure lurching across the swamp to the north of the blazing fire.
