Unicorn

An animal of the forest it roams in herds and has been domesticated by the elves who will use them as steeds for fast travel and for war. The unicorn was the source of the elven friendship with the centaurs. The elves would allow the centaurs to breed the unicorn with their horses which always resulted in white offspring. The unicorn numbers were vastly depleted during the Elven Wars so they are not taken beyond the borders of the forests anymore.
