Sun Axe

The sun axe is the weapon that every war chief takes into battle.  When a war chief no longer leads the war band of a minotaur city he will give the sun axe back to the city as it belongs to the city and not to the war chief of that time.  While a bull is war chief he is responsible for the sun axe.  Some take it with them wherever they go while others will hold it in their home or even leave it at the senate until they lead the war band out of the city.
The sun axe is a six foot battle axe with a head that is shaped like a radiating sun; both the edges of the disk and the wavy sun "rays" are sharpened.  It is a lethal weapon that any minotaur able to be a war chief can use to deadly effect.
