Gavodaun

A canine the size of a bull that roams the Plains and Silver Forest in pairs. They are identifiable by their russet fur with a black stripe along the snout, spine and large, bushy tails. Their favourite method of attack is to use either their formidable teeth or double dew claw to rip the throat from their victims.
While their diet can include berries, roots and carrion they prefer fresh meat, ideally after a good chase. As a result they have been hunted to the point of extinction though a few pairs still remain in the less populated areas of the Plains and the eastern side of the mountains.
