Brief Overview

Thyxias (thicks-ee-es) is the goddess of war and protection and one of the three children born from the union of the primordial gods Tartara and Elysium. She is the mother of the Thyxayan elves and most connected with the other creatures of the Realm.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The rose is seen as a symbol of Thyxias because its thorns represent protection through protecting the flower. A gladius is another of her symbols as it is the most common weapon used for combat in the Realm.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Thyxias is in perfect physical condition. She is highly muscular, but not overly so. Her senses are slightly elevated over all other creatures.

Facial Features

Thyxias has a straight nose and slightly pointed ears. Her face has a smattering of freckles. Her ears are heavily pierced. Thyxias has slightly downturned, icy blue eyes that contrast greatly against her tanned skin and curled pitch colored hair.

Apparel & Accessories

Thyxias always carries a gladius as well as a bow and quiver full of arrows. She has enchanted wooden armor. The only jewelry that Thyxias wears is a variety of golden earrings.

Personal history

Thyxias is the eldest child born from the union of Tartara and Elysium in the upper realm of Etheria. Her two siblings are Mumos and Mizupollia. Thyxias was born already in her present form. Once she grew older, Thyxias became the first of her siblings to create the elves, earning her title the Mother of Elves. She had two sons, Auron Rose and Skor Pyracantha. Auron Rose married the angel Jegudiel, the offspring of the archangel Azrael. He then moved into the Stygian Caverns and founded Kannivalia, where the Thyxayan elves flourished. Skor Pyracantha, however, became the first elf to become corrupted by the overuse of chaos magick, transforming him into the first goblin. Though ashamed of her son's transformation, Thyxias continues to treat all goblins as her children, despite not all of them being Thyxayan elves.
After Skor's transformation, Thyxias was cast out of Etheria. She made her own home close to the Stygian Caverns in the Jade Forest and protects all creatures that are deserving. However, she holds a grudge against her family for casting her out.
Thyxias met Endor Laurel after she was cast out of Etheria, the only son of the primordial god Asphode, and fell in love with him. He loved her back, however he was already mated with Chimera, one of the daemons birthed by Echidna and Typhon. They met in secret, but once Chimera learned of Endor's disloyalty, she and her siblings tore him to shreds in front of Thyxias. Thyxias since then has vowed not to act on her love, and as a result of the experience, she does not bare her emotions to others.

Thyxias cares for all forms of life, even the creatures considered inferior to others, such as goblins. She is also open-minded and a great listener. Thyxias is one of the few divine being that continues to communicate with their creations/children.

Thyxias comes across as cold and uncaring due to her aloof nature. Thyxias sometimes finds it difficult to empathize with other creatures due to her divine status. She also feels as though she should not have to ask for help, so she tends not to.

History

Thyxias became the lover of Chase's father, Endor Laurel. Chase was the only one that knew about their relationship until his mother and subsequently his father's death. Chase's mother was absent from most of his life, so Thyxias took on the motherly role for him. Once Endor was killed, Chase moved to live with Thyxias for a time until he became the consort for the Faerie Prince.
