Thyxayans
Brief Overview
Thyxayans (thicks-ay-ens) are the elven descendants of the goddess Thyxias. Their chief, Auron Rose, is Thyxias' direct child and the rest of the elves are descended from him and the angel Jegudiel. They live in the town of Kannivalia, which is located within a system of caverns. Most elves are trained in various forms of combat, usually hand-to-hand plus a weapon of their choice. However, due to the location of their town, most of them are blind and very pale. Due to their blindness, they rely on echolocation and smell to get around. Thyxayans burn easily in the sunlight. They use very little magick.Appearance
Thyxayan elves do not care much about their outward appearances. Their ears are longer and larger than their other elven kin, quite similar to bat ears, and younger generations do not have eyes. Due to lack of sunlight, the hair and skin of Thyxayans are very pale, with the skin sometimes becoming nearly translucent. Thyxayans are shorter than other clans of elves, yet are still taller than the average human. They have thin builds to help them navigate through tight crevices in cave tunnels. Overall, Thyxayan elves are the closest in appearance to their goblin kin.Naming Traditions

Culture and cultural heritage
Children
Thyxayans do not marry/have children to those within their own clan, but rather other elves, or sometimes merpeople. Very rarely they will marry/have children with faeries, angels, and daemons. Not all Thyxayans will live out their lives in Kannivalia, but most will because they are more suited to living in the darkness of caves and not in the sun and harsh elements. Thyxayan elves (and other elves as well) reproduce almost exactly like humans do, however they can use magick to have children with other creatures of the same sex or creatures with no sex.Common Dress code
They wear the skin of animals or their kin for clothes or they don't wear anything at all.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Many of them shave their hair, as it gets in the way when fighting.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Cannibalism
Thyxayans also practice cannibalism to conserve space in the caves and keep the caves clean. There is also little food in the caves, so cannibalism is a way to gain sustenance. Most Thyxayans also believe that eating their kin allows their souls to live on within themselves.Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Do to their typical blindness, Thyxayan elves do not have beauty ideals based off of appearance.
