Duke William Rochfort Hawkwood

An ascetic mystic, scion of House Hawkwood and luminary of the holy Church, the duke is also a religious fanatic, genocidal madman and a black mark on the Hawkwood name. William Rochfort is the younger son of Duke Manard Hawkwood and Lady Dara Li Halan. Raised on Midian, he was bound for a life among the Orthodox Church until an unfortunate accident drowned his older brother. Returning to Gwynneth, the young duke was scandalized by the presence of so many pagan Forest People in his duchy. He discriminated against them as a matter of course, building his power. In the last 4-5 years, whatever tolerance he had has left him and he has begun to commit genocide against the Forest People. Despite opposition to his conduct, he remains the richest and most powerful person on Gwynneth and so far, the rest of House Hawkwood on the planet have been unwilling to take direct action against him.
