Gaeilge

Gaeilge (Irish) is a Goidelic language that is the first language of most people in Ireland, and is also spoken in Man and parts of Scotland.
Old Irish (c. 600-900 AD), Middle Irish (c. 900-1200 AD) and Classical Irish (c. 1200-1750 AD) are the forms spoken through the Middle Ages. Middle Irish is the descendent of Scottish Gaelic and Manx.

The Lord's Prayer

Ár n-Athair	Our Father
Ár n-Athair atá ar neamh,	Our Father, which art in heaven
Go naofar d'ainim,	Hallowed be thy name
Go dtagfadh do ríocht,	Thy kingdom come
Go ndéantar do thoil ar an talamh	Thy will be done
mar a dhéantar ar neamh.	On Earth as it is in Heaven
Ár n-arán laethúil tabhair dúinn inniu,	Give us this day our daily bread,
agus maith dúinn ár bhfiacha	and forgive us our debts
mar a mhaithimidne dár bhféichiúna féin	as we forgive our debtors
