Lake Sigland
Lake Sigland is a massive freshwater lake in central Rhesos. It has a single island off the eastern shore of the lake where Tarleigh is located.
Geography
Lake Sigland is surrounded by rolling glacial hills, dense forests and farmland. The lake has several tributary rivers that drain into it from the north. The eastern shores are practically level with the water, gently sloping to it's stony beaches, while the western side of the lake is harsh cliff walls with steep drop-offs and rocky faces. The western portion of the lake is also dotted with natural caves.
Ecosystem Cycles
Summers are hot and humid around the lake. While central Rhesosian winters aren't particularly harsh, there have been a few instances where the entire lake has frozen over, leaving some Rhesosian Navy ships stranded for a few days, and allowing denizens of Tarleigh to cross over the ice instead of taking the Sky Bridge.
Natural Resources
The lake and it's tributaries create great resources for irrigation and watering livestock, so the area is rich for farming. Natural food sources like berries and wild vegetables are easy to find in forested areas. Local wildlife also thrives in the location, so animals are abundant for hunting.
