Liliamrin
Liliamrin is a small village on the island of Iliaris, it is the northern most settlement in the Pocket Void. It is an isolated town where everyone knows everyone.
It has very little contact with any of the other settlements. Due mostly to its isolation, to get there the most practical way is by boat from the island of Sei. From there you have to sail around the Main Island's peninsula. The only other way is to cross the northern mountains then take a boat across the sea to Iliaris.
They do occasionally trade some of the crabs they catch off the coast. They send a ship with a cargo of crabs down to the port on Sei.
Liliamrin started when a group of engineers ended up there after a malfunction during an early Interface test. Because the Interface was malfunctioning and they didn't know where they were, they couldn't get back. That is when Geocompasses became standered equipment.
The misplaced engineers started the small settlement while waiting to be found. When they finally were they didn't want to leave, and invited others to join them. The settlement grew slowly and is still small. The kind of place where everyone knows everyone. Rumors spread fast, though everyone is always polite to your face. People mind their business, until they get home and tell their family everything. This can occasionally create tense undercurrents, especially for anyone who doesn't fit in. New people are rare, but some people who prefer a more minimal tech life decide to settle there.
Most of the population works on the crab boats, piloting, navigating, fishing, mending crab traps. Everyone has some sort of connection to the sea. This inspires many names for children born there. Named after the sea, waves, and oceans. Names from many different languages, from many different worlds.
